Architecture, urbanism, engineering and landscape practice based in Nicosia, Cyprus. Founded and led by George Mesaritis and Georgia Loizou. More than twenty years of practice working at every scale — from regional masterplans to building details. ## What we do

## Background

George Mesaritis and Georgia Loizou practised together for over twenty years within Polytia Armos (polytia.com), the architecture and urbanism practice founded by architect Nicos Mesaritis — George's father. They now work as MELOUAR, carrying two decades of shared experience forward. The body of work built within Polytia Armos forms the foundation of the MELOUAR record; several projects on this site originate from that partnership and are credited accordingly.

- **George Mesaritis** — Founding Partner. Civil engineer and multidisciplinary urbanist (NTUA, Athens, 2004). Twenty years across urban regeneration, masterplanning, urban design, sustainable mobility, planning policy, heritage, construction supervision and project management — synthesising strategy and detail into spatial decisions. Sustainable mobility and masterplanning have been a continuous focus. Member of ETEK, the Cyprus Association of Transportation Engineers, and the Cyprus Association of Civil Engineers. - **Georgia Loizou** — Founding Partner. Architect and urban designer (NTUA, Athens, 2005 · MArch, UCL Bartlett). Twenty years across architecture, urban design, public realm and landscape, heritage and team management — from the masterplan to the building detail. Public realm and architectural restoration have been a continuous focus. Awarded in national and international architectural competitions. Visiting studio tutor and lecturer in architecture and urbanism. Member of ETEK and the Cyprus Architects Association.
